Person of the Week - Bert Brady - Bumped
Exspider
I bumped this post to the top because Bert Brady just got selected as Wednesday Hero.
If anybody deserves the honor, it’s this man.
Thanks Velvet Hammer for reminding me that we all have something in common. It’s in our blood I guess.
Anyhow, this is just one of the reasons that I still love my adopted home state of Texas (10 years). Sam Johnson would be another fine example of this
“state of mind” in my opinion.
I take this opportunity to salute you Bert Brady for what you’re doing Sir, and thank you for remembering those of us that were there the first time around. (71-72)

Illusion. Meet reality. God still loves Texas!

Thanks Exodus. Texas was a good place to raise a kid at least, even if the wind-speed was usually running about 30-35 mph on a calm day. All the trees in the panhandle pointed towards Oklahoma for good reason. We scattered in the wind in a way I guess; You landed in Hawaii and it blew me right back into Illinois. It was still a nice ten year visit tho, wasn’t it?

This brought tears to my eyes. In spite of the lies we are fed by a corrupt media and the equally corrupt political hacks who disgrace the ofc they serve, there are folks Bert and others that give of themselves to a returning vet. Real American patriots are amongst the never do wells. I love this country and proud to have served. Semper Fi

“For those who have fought for it, freedom has a taste the protected will never know”
True solders are always the first to cry longryder. We didn’t fight to give the MSM and the powers that be talking points and an excuse to bash our country. People like Bert are why we do it.

Thanks for the link Expider!
We need more like Bert! I am proud to be an American when I read stories such as this. In these times something we need more of. Instead of all of that leftie American hating bulls**t. Ungrateful for what they have, thanks to all of our Brave Men and Women defending our Freedoms they so enjoy.
In a related story. My niece’s class adopted a soldier from their area. It is so wonderful to know that there is a teacher who cares about our Troops. They exchanged letters, sent things to him on his wish list, and went to the airport to welcome him home. What a heart warming sight!
