I’ve often wondered if Pakistan was somewhat more of a problem than most realized. Benazir Bhutto’s assassination today will have it’s consequences, of that you can be sure. As a matter if fact, I’m starting to see a whole lot of pale looking canaries these days. That’s not a good sign……..

How bad it can get isn’t the crucial question here folk’s; It’s how fast it can get that way…..

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (AP) - President Gen. Pervez Musharraf declared a state of emergency in Pakistan on Saturday ahead of a crucial Supreme Court decision on whether to overturn his recent election win and amid rising Islamic militant violence.

Eight Supreme Court judges immediately rejected the emergency, which suspended the current constitution. The government blocked transmissions of private news channels in several cities and telephone services in the capital, Islamabad, were cut.

“The chief of army staff has proclaimed a state of emergency and issued a provisional constitutional order,” a newscaster on state Pakistan TV said, adding that Musharraf, who took power in 1999 coup, would address the nation later Saturday.

The Right Truth Book Club reviewed “Lone Survivor” by Marcus Luttrell with Patrick Robinson, which is the eyewitness account of Operation Redwing and the lost heroes of Seal Team 10 in Afghanistan. While this is a story about heroism, suffering, patriotism, and the kindness of strangers, it is also an indictment of American liberals, specifically the liberal media. Perhaps this is why the MSM failed to report on Michael Murphy and the Medal of Honor this week.
